Download

Install

Add it to a page

Add at least 1 redirect rule

That's literally it... Anyone can use it to re-map URLs from old modules to new ones for search engines, and eliminate duplicate URLs entirely.

Probably the number one reason you might consider this module is to get rid of your homepage URL.

You can use this module to re-map the home page URL to a single homepage URL. For example:

Redirect http://mydomain.com/Home.aspx to http://mydomain.com/. You can be even more specific and add an additional rule to do the same thing for http://mydomain.com/Default.aspx.

Updated Wiki: Home

Project Description
This module allows content editors in DotNetNuke to have a simple and easy way to properly redirect incoming URLs that are incorrectly indexed by search engines.

Part of the power behind DotNetNuke is that modules can have multiple and even an unlimited number of dynamic views. These views are pages that don't actually exist, except to your website visitors. Examples of this can be seen in modules like blogs, forums, announcements, events, and more. Basically, any module that creates a list of content that has a page for each kind of content.

Unfortunately, if you switch from one module to another one, your URLs may no longer match. This is just one of many problems that this module solves...

You can update search engines and minimize the impact for SEO issues on your website. Simply add the old URL and specify the new URL that you want it to point to.
